FOR WEEK EIGHT

 Voice and memory

Write a passage in which someone is recall a past place, or person they are very attached to.   Try to make them sound happy to be describing the place or person but not ‘going on and on about them.’    Think of particular small details which have stuck in the speaker’s mind but also bring the person or place to life for the listener.   You could link the memory to something in the setting, the place the speaker is perhaps visiting,  something found in a drawer,  something that’s happened that makes her think of him/her/it.   Work at the ‘tone of voice’.
